Smith Echo

The use of a Hi-Lo (high spot card then low spot card in the same suit) in the suit first played by declarer, to show an encouragement for the suit which partner made the opening lead in, and Lo-Hi to show disinterest in the suit which partner made the opening lead in, rather than using these signals to show length in the suit being played.
