Directional Asking Bid

The cue bid of the opponents suit, to request that partner bid NT if he holds a partial stopper in the opponents suit.  A partial stopper being holdings like stiff K, Qx, Jxx, Txxx.  Frequently partner will also hold a partial stop or has a full stop but feels a 2nd stop is required to ensure success of a NT contract.
