Short for  CLub Asking Respond Aces & Controls.

After a 4 bid, the responses are:

4     - No Aces, No KQ's

4     - 1 Ace AND 1st or 2nd round heart control

4     - 1 Ace AND 1st or 2nd round spade control

4NT  - No Aces, but KQ combinations

5     - 1 Ace AND 1st or 2nd round club control

5     - 2 Aces AND 2nd round diamond control

5     - 2 Aces AND 2nd round heart control

5     - 2 Aces AND 2nd round spade control

5NT  - 3 Ace, no other controls

6     - 2 Aces AND 2nd round club control
